So, what about those who are off campus?
welcome to k house!!
Living off campus for your first year is a completely different experience from living on-campus. But never fear, you're as much a part of ISW and Otonabee College as any of the on-campus students. You are encouraged to come to all of the events that are hosted during ISW, and the rest of the year by cabinet. This is a prime opportunity for you to meet students who are on campus, as well as those who are in your classes. We, as ISW co-chairs and staff, recognize that it'll be more difficult for you to get to campus in the morning, and to stay on campus throughout the day. That's why we've been working all summer to make sure your ISW is just as amazing as the ISW for students on campus. This includes:
- Storage for you belongings throughout the day. - Meet up spots on campus between events for you to chill and grab some refreshments with our ISW staff. - A House dedicated just to you, with your own assigned ISW staff just like all the other houses! |

A message from the Office of Student Affairs:
Introductory Seminar Week (ISW) is an opportunity for first-year students to get acquainted with their college, become accustomed to their new academic setting and be met by a group of enthusiastic upper-year student volunteers ready to answer questions and help out any way they can. Countless events are held on campus with the goal of helping arriving students meet and interact with others.
ISW is an extremely important time for incoming students, especially those who have decided to live off-campus for their first year. The Office of Student Affairs runs numerous events specifically for off-campus students in order to make sure they have the information they need in order to have a successful transition to Trent life. This is an opportunity for off-campus students to meet up with other off-campus students, feel connected to the Trent and their College community, begin to build friendships and a space to ask questions.
This year, the Office of Student Affairs is hosting the following events:
